Helen Buckwell & Jude Sclater: Exploring collaboration - especially in a virtual world

Session on 24 November 2020 15:30 UTC - View on timetable

Session

This interactive session will be a space for us to share, reflect and collaborate together, to consider how we can build powerful collaborative environments across an organisation. Often we see Team Coaching interventions supporting senior leadership teams, and whilst this is incredibly valuable, we know that employee engagement is heavily driven by the team environment they work in day to day. Organisations are full of teams and the world is too complex for one leader to know all the answers, so what can we, as coaches, do to help organisations build collaborative environments across all the teams and with this, increase engagement – especially whilst working in a virtual world?

We will share a variety of tools and approaches that can be adopted in your unique environments. This will include the support we as coaches can offer team leaders and team members. What skills might be required and what role can coaches and learning professionals play in creating a shift in the environment of each of these teams or groups?

Learning outcomes

By the end of the session you will:

  • Understand a framework to consider how we can enhance collaboration
  • Reflected on how the climate and environment of a team or group can impact its performance
  • Explored differing interventions that can make a practical difference on the ground
  • Shared your own ideas, experiences and tools to build our collective intelligence on this topic.
